FOR WHEN I’M GONE is about love, loss and motherhood.
Someone once remarked that the best novels are about death and families. I tend to agree and so that’s the kind of book I’ve written. I hope you like it.
It was described in The Times as ‘wonderfully assured’ and also ‘witty’, and was chosen as a Book of the Week in The Sun.
The Evening Standard said of it ‘pass the tissues’ but while it’s definitely a sad premise, I don’t think For When I’m Gone is a dour book. It’s really about how precious our time here is, a truth that I continually forget and endeavour to remind myself.
